The trek from Pokhara then Ghorepani, Ghandruk, Pothana and back to Pokhara was splendidly planned. We were most satisfied with our 11 days trek. Not only were the treks made easy with our easy going and very informative guide Arjun, the tea-houses were very welcome ! The most beautiful people were met. Every experience was breathtaking. We will tell our friends about it for sure.
We went on the extended Ghorepani-Ghandruk trek and had an amazing time. The guide (Hari Krishna) and porter (Krishna) were really excellent and made sure we are very well looked after!!! We were lucky with the weather and saw some mountains which took our breath away. We are extremely pleased with the Nepal Environmental Treks and Expedition agency for organizing such an enjoyable trip.
We did the Ghorepani-Poon Hill-Ghandruk trek with Hari as our guide and Dil as our porter. It was Extra ordinarily beautiful, especially Poon Hill and Ghandruk. But what really made it a wonderful trek was Hari-a humblingly kind and gentle man, incredibly thoughtful, patient with us when we were slow or late attentive to every need;knowledgeabl lively and interesting and clearly kind and respected by the people on the villages we passed through. So we can recommend highly enough that you try to trek with Hari.
Thanks to all of the crew who helped us to fulfill our Kanchenjunga trek. I may return to Nepal, somehow this country has a special place in my heart: nature and helpful people but: the real vacation starts when you leave Kathmandu. We have seen this city now enough times. Take care.
Been on a 27 day trek, cut short by altitude sickness to 17 days, in Kanchenjunga. Guide was experienced and knowledgeable but the porter never showed up. Learned that he was alcoholic (known by the company) and are disappointed that the company would assign porters who are known to be unreliable (he was on a drinking binge when he should have been working for us). Guide managed to find a local porter who was very good. Guide and company handled evacuation very well, but afterwards here have been some difficulties in communication. We were not allowed to keep our guide for the rest of the time we had paid for his services. They are also for unknown reasons reluctant to return a passport. The trek itself was very enjoyable but it turned out the itinerary had not been verified by the guide before Nava approved it and it had to be altered. In summary: Good guide and trek and evacuation but some administration surrounding the trip has been unsatisfactory.
