On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our airport representative. You will be greeted traditionally with flower garlands. The representative will then take you to your hotel where you will be served welcome drinks. Afterward, we will go to office for trip briefing. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Today following breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at hotel and take you for city sightseeing. You will visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, and Pashupatinath. You will also visit Kopan Monastery if we get enough time. By late afternoon you will arrive back in your hotel. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Wake up early for breakfast and get on your motorbike towards Hetauda. It will take 4 hrs to reach Hetauda, a buzzing commercial center. Visit Markhu Village, Kulekhani, MakwanpurGadhi Durbar and Sahid Smarak in Hetauda.
After breakfast prepare for a long ride to Janakpur in the Terai. Enjoy beautiful views of villages and hills along the way. Janakpur is a Hindu pilgrimage centre as it is the birthplace of Goddess Sita and kingdom of Janak. You can visit Janaki Temple and Sri Ram Temple.
Morning ride to Dharan takes about 4 hrs. Dharan is a chief town center full of commercial activities. Places of interest include Budha Subba temple which contains tomb of the last Limbu King, Buddhi Karnaraya Khebang, as well as Dharan Clock Tower.
The drive from Dharan to Ilam is quite easy. You will stop at Kakarvitta, eastern most border point between Nepal and India. Ilam was once part of Khumbuwan or a Limbu Kingdom. Ilam is now famous for its original Ilam tea and tea gardens.
This is a rest day in Ilam. Enjoy visiting nearby tea gardens and cardamom plantation.
Enjoy riding in a crisp morning to Dhankuta. Hile in Dhankuta is perhaps the most famous cities in eastern Nepal. Pay your respect at Chintang devi temple and explore the local bazaar.
Diktel is our next stop from Hile. Diktel is the headquarters of Khotang district and was once part of Kirat kingdom. Halesi-Maratika cave located in Diktel is the most sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. Barah Pokhari or 12 ponds is another touristic spot worth the visit.
The ride from Diktel to Dhulikhel is along Aranaiko Highway, that connects Tibet and Nepal. Dhulikhel is a popular hill station from where you can capture 180 degree panoramic views of Annapurna, Langtang, Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal and Lhotse. Besides you can also visit Kali Temple and Gaukhureshwor Mahadev Temple.
This is your final day of motorbike tour. You will get back to Kathmandu by afternoon. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
