Jungle Safari Tour

Nepal is rich in wild life and biodiversity. In fact Nepal is listed as one of the world’s ecological hotspots. Over 20% of Nepal’s land is covered with natural forests. Because of its extreme altitude variation, ranging from 60m above sea level to the earth’s highest point at 8848m, the forest cover and vegetation varies from tropical and temperate to alpine and tundra. Further this amazing juxtaposition of natural vegetation provides a uniqe habitat for a variety of different wildlife ranging from Tiger, Elehpant and Rhinos in the south to Snow Leopard, Himalayan Tahr and mountain goats in the high Himalayan reaches.

There are 20 conservation and protected areas in Nepal, some of which are Parsa Wildlife Reserve, Royal Bardia National Park, Sagarmatha National Park, Chitwan National Park and Shukla Phanta wildlife Reserve. Among them Sagarmatha National Park and Chitwan National Park have been designated as natural world heritage site because of the significance of its natural resources.

Today these national parks and conservation areas serve as a natural recreation center for thousands of tourists. Wildlife enthusiasts and general travelers visit these parks to see flora and fauna. Moreover, travelers can go on jungle safari, bird watching or nature walk. One can also visit Elephant breeding center, Crocodile breeding center, and play with elephants.
