Overview

Jomsom Trek features stunning mountain views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna and culturally rich villages of Thakali people in the heart of Annapurna Region. One of the most significant features of this trek is that it can be done throughout the year as it falls under the rain shadow areas of Nepal.

The Jomsom trek takes you to an ancient kingdom of Mustang. Much of the culture and religious rituals in this valley resembles that of Tibet.  Visit the shrine of Chumig Gyatsa or Muktinath temple at 3710m and bathe in the sacred 108 spring sprouts. The age old monasteries and chortens in Kagbeni and Jomsom will take you back in time.

The barren landscape of Mustang is just an extension of the landscape of Tibet. However, you will find plenty of biodiversity around from rhododendrons and oak trees, birds and rare wildlife such as snow leopards and Himalayan Thar. The natural wonders of Mustang does not stop there. The deepest gorge in the world that lies in Mustang between the massive massifs of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.

The Jomsom Trek will end with a short, scenic and adventurous flight from Jomsom airport to Pokhara.
