Arun Valley Trek

Arun valley trek straddles between two highest mountains, Everest and Makalu. You can see stunning views of Mt. Everest, Makalu and numerous other mountains. Arun valley trekking region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture.
 
You can walk up north of the Arun river to Sedua and Num, then cross Barun La (4110m) to the upper Barun khola valley for a closer look at Makalu. It becomes even more adventurous if you decide to cross Sherpani col and west col passes into the upper Hongu valley. 
 
The highest point of the Arun Valley Trek is Salpa Bhanjyang and from there you can also visit holy lake called Salpa Lake (3414m.)
 
Sherpa, Rai and Limbus are the main inhabitants of this region.

Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (937m.) and walk up to Kartike ghat then camp at Kartike ghat.

Trek from Kartike to Gothey. You camp for the night.

Trek from Gothey to Phedi (1680m). You camp for the night.

Trek from Phedi to Gurase (2880m). You camp for the night.

Trek from Gurase to Sanam. You camp for the night.

Trek from Sanam to Bung (1900m). You camp for the night.

Trek from Bung to Gaikharka. You camp for the night.

Trek from Gaikharka to Vasme. You camp for the night.

Trek from Vasme to Pangum (2850m). You camp for the night.

Trek from Pangum to Painya (2730m). You camp for the night.

Trek from Painya to Lukla (2840m). You camp for the night.

Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu.


SERVICE INCLUDES/EXCLUDES

The Trip includes following services:
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off services by private A/C car or Van
  • Trekking guide
  • Porter (1 porter carries 25 kilograms of luggage)
  • All meals three times a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  • Accommodation in teahouses (lodges) or Camping arrangements during the trek
  • Sleeping bags, down jackets, duffle bags and trekking sticks if required
  • Entry Permit
  • Trekkers' Information Management system (TIMS) card
  • All land transportation
  • Insurance and equipments for the guide and porter
  • First aid kit
  • Rescue assistance (In case of emergency, we will organize prompt and professional rescue services. To arrange timely evacuation/rescue by helicopter, you must be well insured from a reliable travel insurance company that covers both helicopter evacuation and medical treatment cost.)
  • One farewell dinner in Kathmandu with live cultural performance at authentic Nepali restaurant on the last evening
  • Souvenir (t-shirt, mug, pen, bag, etc.)
