Highlights

Overview

Baruntse peak itself is surrounded by Imja Tse and Barun Glacier on north and east. Some of the risks of climbing the peak is its snow and hanging glaciers, occasional avalanches and wind. The Baruntse expedition also involves the climbing of Mera Peak (6476m) before the final summit push.

Located in Khumbu region of eastern Nepal, Baruntse peak is 7162m in height, making it one of the tallest trekking peaks in the Himalayas.

The first team to conquer Baruntse expedition included Edmund Hillary, Colin Todd and Geo Harrow, all from New Zealand. Since the peak is located in remote himalayan region, the total number of days for climbing Baruntse Peak will be at least 30 days.

With Nepal Environmental Treks & Expedition, you will get all the support you need to make this expedition successful. The expedition will be operated and led by our experienced Sherpa climbers and guides. You will have plenty of time to learn mountaineering skills in the base camp that will be useful for you to make a successful attempt of the Baruntse summit. The organizing of the expedition will be done on full board basis with full base camp service including all climbing equipment.
