Chitwan Jungle Safari with Pokhara Sightseeing tour offers you a mix of Chitwan jungle safari tour and Pokhara sightseeing. It also includes visit to the famous world heritage monuments in Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Boudha Stupa, Swoyambhu Stupa, Pashupatinath and Changu Narayan Temple. The drive to Nagarkot (2175m) to see sunrise and Himalayan peaks including Everest, Langtang, Ganesh Himal and Annapurna ranges. The tour also features rafting down the Trishuli River on the way to Chitwan National Park. 
 
Chitwan National Park (a world heritage site) is Nepal’s oldest national park situated some 200km south from the capital city of Kathmandu. Spread in an area of 932 sq. km., the park consists of riverine forests, grasslands, lakes and rivers. Some of the most treasured wild animals in the park include Asian elephants, one horned rhinos, gharial crocodiles and Bengal tigers. There are over 544 species of birds, 68 species of mammals, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish recorded in the park. You can indulge in multiple jungle activities inside the park such as jungle walk, bird watching, boating, watching Tharu lifestyle and cultural program etc. 
 
Similarly Pokhara is perhaps the most popular city in Nepal full of lakes, caves, waterfall, and Himalayas. It is also the gateway to the famed Annapurna treks and a playground for adventure activities such as paragliding, rafting, hiking etc. The view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Macchapuchre peaks is magnificent and so is boating on Phewa Lake and visit to Davi’s waterfall.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.

On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our airport representative. You will be greeted traditionally with flower garlands. The representative will then take you to your hotel where you will be served welcome drinks. In the afternoon, you can take a stroll around and visit shops, restaurants and bars.

Day 2 : City tour of Kathmandu

On the second day, following morning breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you for city sightseeing. On this day you will visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Budanilkantha and Pashupatinath. By late afternoon you will be back in your hotel.

Day 3 : City tour of Patan and drive to Nagarkot

City tour continues on the third day. After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up from your hotel as we will head towards Patan, one of the three medieval cities of Kathmandu Valley. You will enjoy and revel at the many architectural wonders of Patan Durbar Square including Krishna Mandir, statue of Bhupatindra Malla, Golden Temple, Namo Buddha and so on. The experience of walking through the narrow cobbled alleyways and discovering the age-old culture and tradition of local people will take you back in time.

You will also be able to make a side-trip to Bungamati village for authentic Newari experience. After visiting Patan, you will set off for Nagarkot, one of the most popular hill stations in Nepal. Nagarkot, located at 2195m, is one of the best spots to see the magnificent Himalayas along with eternal sunset and sunrise views.

Day 4 : Nagarkot-Changu Narayan-Bhaktapur

You will wake up early today to see the sunrise over the Himalayas. A sumptuous breakfast awaits as you enjoy the sunrise views. Afterwards you will leave Nagarkot and drive towards Changu Narayan, one of the oldest temples inscribed in the World Heritage Site.

Changu Narayan consists of the oldest stone engravings along with local museum. The surrounding villages offers a glimpse of rural Nepal with rolling green hills and fields.  Later you will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, another world heritage site. Bhaktapur has much to offer to the tourists from medieval temples and statues to pottery square and museums. Nyatapola Temple, 55-windows palaces are examples some of the unique Himalayan architecture that places it among the best destinations within Kathmandu Valley.

Drive back to Kathmandu to your hotel.

Day 5 : Drive from Kathmandu to Charaudi.

Drive from Kathmandu to Charaudi. Rafting from Charaudi to Kurintar followed by drive to Chitwan National Park. Today you will take an early morning drive to Charaudi. You will start rafting from Charaudi on Trisuli River to Kurintar which takes about three and a half hours. Afterwards you will drive to Chitwan National Park.

Day 6 : Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park is a world heritage site and is the oldest national park of Nepal. It is home of the rare and endangered one horned rhinoceros, elephants, and tigers. You can enjoy an elephant back safari or nature walk through the tall elephant grass. In the evening participate cultural programs conducted by Tharu, one of the indigenous communities of the Terai.

Day 7 : Full day Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park

Today you enjoy a full day of jungle activities that will include elephant back safari, nature walks, canoe or boat ride, jeep drive, elephant bathing, bird watching, etc. as time permits. All outings will be guided by trained local naturalists and guides. Animals and birds to be seen are rhinoceros, crocodiles, bear, monkeys, several species of deer, pythons, peacocks, hornbills, woodpeckers (amongst more than 500 species of birds recorded in the park). If lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the elusive tiger or leopard. One more activity includes a walk through Tharu villages.

Day 8 : Drive from Chitwan to Pokhara

After breakfast you can go on a morning nature walk. Afterwards you will drive to Pokhara.

Day 9 : Pokhara sightseeing

After breakfast, you will take a short drive to Sarangkot (1600m) for sunrise and mountain views. In the afternoon you will go sightseeing to Mahendra Cave, Davi's Fall, Barahi Mandir, Chamera (Bat) Cave and enjoy boating on Phewa Lake.

Day 10 : Drive or fly back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu enjoy scenic views of rolling green hills, rivers and villages along the meandering highways. Or if you would like to fly back to Kathmandu, the flight takes about 30 minutes.

Day 11 : Mountain Flight/Shopping

Today is a free day for you. If you wish we can arrange Mountain Flight for you. Mountain Flight, which occurs in the morning, offers you a spectacular opportunity to fly high over the Himalayas. From the comfort of your air seat, you will be able to see the  tallest Himalayan peaks up-close such as Everest (8848m), Shisha Pangma (8031m),Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Phurbi Gyachu (6637m), Choba Bhamare (5970m), Guari Shankar (7134m), Melungtse (7181m) among others.

The rest of the day is free for you to do shopping.

Day 12 : Departure

As per your flight schedule, our airport representative will transfer from your hotel to the airport for your final departure.
