Highlights

Overview

Panchase Trek is one of the shortest treks you can do around Pokhara Valley. It is a quick trek that offers the finest of Himalayan trekking: beautiful views of tallest mountains, real culture and scenic nature.

The trekking path traverses through green rolling hills, quiet villages and gorgeous terraced fields. Walking in the forests under the shade of juniper, oak and rhododendron trees and sighting of wild animals will give you a mesmerizing experience. Gurungs, who are known world over for their Gurkha image, are the main inhabitants of this region.

The best part of this trek is a hike to Panchase Bhanjyang located at an altitude of 2050m. From here you can see crystal clear views of Macchapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Lamjung and Manaslu among others.

This is purely a camping trek and can be done throughout the year. However, Spring (March-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov) are regarded as the best times to do Panchase Trek.
