Nepal Environmental Trekking has always remained very conscious about the preservation of environment. We proote local cultures, wilderness adventures, volunteering, personal growth and learning. Our company believes in the practice of responsible ecotourism in order to minimize the adverse effects of tourism on the natural environment and local culture. In all our tour and adventure programs, we promote recycling, energy efficiency, water re-use, and the creation of economic opportunities for local communities.
Our goal is to enable people to enjoy and learn about the natural, historical and cultural characteristics of unique environments while preserving the integrity of those sites and stimulating the economic development opportunities in local communities. Specifically we always attempt to effectively promote the preservation of entire local ecosystems, not just individual species, vistas or sites.
Although trekking is fun and enjoyable, it is often the cause of forest degradation and waste generation. Against this alarming backdrop, the practice of ecologically friendly-tourism has been gaining increased momentum – both in Nepal and around the world. Our approach to tourism seeks not only to preserve the environment and culture of a destination but also to be of benefit to the local population. By fostering environmental awareness, both among locals & visitors and by linking tourism to social and economic development, it is possible to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of an area through the promotion of sustainable tourism. This not only enhances the positive experience of those on holiday it also helps to increase the standard of living of the local residents. We can proudly say that Nepal Environmental Treks & Expedition have steadfastly led the way in promoting responsible, eco tours in Nepal.
To start with, our slogan is “Where there is greenery, there is peace and happiness”. In this regard we strongly condemn deforestation and organize plantation programs from time to time. All the guides and porters working in this company have been provided training about the hazards faced by the environment. They have learned and adopted practices for protection of environment through various training and workshop. We also conduct programs to provide awareness to the local community about sanitation, hazards of deforestation, preservation of eco system, cleanliness and hygiene and so on.
We allocate certain per cent of our profit to conduct most of our awareness and training programs.
