Nambu Singalila Trek

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Fly from Kathmandu to Kakarvitta (Bhadrapur airport).

Pick-up from Kakarvitta and drive to Gangtok (Sikkim) which takes 5 hours (126 km). Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Gangtok sightseeing

Gangtok sightseeing which includes Tashi view Point, Ganash Tok, Hanuman Tok and famous Enchey Monastery.

Back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit Tibetology, Institute of Cottage Industry, Dro-Drul Chorten, rope way, flower show  and world famous Rumtek Monastery. Return back to hotel. Evening walk at the Mall or shopping/leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Drive from Gangtok to Nambu.

After breakfast transfer from Gangtok to  Nambu (1600 m) via Pelling. Stay over night in camp.

Day 4 : Trek from Nambu to Sang Khola which takes 5hrs. (7 km).

Day 5 : Trek from Sang Khola to Naya Patal which takes 4 hours (6 km).

Trek from Sang Khola to Naya Patal which takes 4 hours (6 km). Stay overnight in camp.

Day 6 : Trek from Naya Patal to Lower Yambong which takes 5 hours (7 km).

Trek from Naya Patal to Lower Yambong which takes 5 hours (7 km). Stay overnight in camp.

Day 7 : Trek from Lower Yambong to Upper Yambong which takes 4 hours (6 km).

Trek from Lower Yambong to Upper Yambong which takes 4 hours (6 km). Stay over night in camp.

Day 8 : Trek from Upper Yambong to Gomathang which takes 4 hours (5 km).

Day 9 : Trek from Gomathang to Pangding which takes 4 hours (5 km).

Day 10 : Trek from Pangding to Dzongri which takes 6 hours (9 km).

Day 11 : Trek from Dzongri to Lamune which takes 5 hours (7 km).

Day 12 : Trek from Lamune to Gochela, 4995 M to Thangsing which takes 7 hours (8 km).

Day 13 : Trek from Thangsing to Tshoka which takes 4 hours (10 km).

Day 14 : Trek from Tshoka to Yuksam which takes 6 hours (6 km).

Day 15 : Drive from Yuksom to Darjeeling.

Drive from Yuksom to Darjeeling. Stay over night at the hotel.

Day 16 : Full day Darjeeling sightseeing.

You could take an early trip to Tiger Hill to see the sunrise falling on Mt. Kanchanjunga (world’s 3rd highest peak). Afterwards we visit the famous Ghoom monastery that enshrines an image of the Maitreya Buddha (the coming Buddha). Later on we can visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and tea plantations. Stay over night in hotel.

Day 17 : Drive from Darjeeing to Kakarvitta (Bhadrapur) whick takes approximately 5 hours.

Drive from Darjeeing to Kakarvitta (Bhadrapur) whick takes approximately 5 hours, and on the same day fly from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu.
