After an early-morning breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the domestic airport terminal. You'll receive your boarding pass and fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m), which takes about 35 minutes. The flight offers close views of the Himalayas and picturesque landscapes of hills, farms, and rivers.
Upon arrival in Lukla, you'll begin a 3-hour trek to Phakding (2640m). Starting from Lukla, you'll gently climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Mt. Nupla (5885m), visible in the distance, stands atop the Kongde Ridge. Descending a mountainside path, you'll merge into the route to Everest, enjoying views of a wonderful valley to your right and Mt. Kusum Kang (6367m) to the far end. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) takes approximately five hours. Namche Bazaar is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges and faces the Bhote Koshi to the South. Stay overnight at lodge.
A day for rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. You can walk up to Khumjung to visit a monastery or hike up to Syangboche (3800m) for outstanding views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawoche, and Kwangde. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867m) takes about five hours. As you climb through the forested zone, the incline eases, offering splendid views. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4260m) takes approximately five hours. Dingboche is a beautiful patchwork of fields protected by stone walls. Stay overnight at lodge.
Rest day at Dingboche (4260 m.) for acclimatization. There are some breathtaking views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as you explore this beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. The walk is short with a good chance to relax in the afternoon. You have another option as you can hike up to Chhukum. From here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Island peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Tawoche peak and others. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m) takes about five and a half hours. The onward journey leads north for up to 50 minutes until you come to a mani-prayer Stupa. The trail follows a downward path to Pheriche village. Today's walk offers views of Mt. Tawache, Ama Dablam, and to the north, Pokalde (5741m), Kongma-tse (5820m), and the great wall of Nuptse. After two hours of walking, the trail from Pheriche joins near Dugla (4595m) before a small wooden bridge over the river of the Khumbu glacier. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5486m.) via Gorakshep (5180m.) and back to Gorakshep for an overnight stay, taking about seven hours. Trek up the valley following the rocky moraine path, witnessing icy glacial ponds and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier. Gorakshep is the location of the original Everest Base Camp, with the new camp further up the valley. The trail winds through a rocky path and the Khumbu glacier, offering views of Nuptse, Lho-La, and Khumbutse. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and then to Dzongla (4620m.) taking about six hours. Descend gently from Gorakshep to Lobuche and then follow a narrow path stretching along the riverbed before ascending to Dzongla. Enjoy excellent views of Lobuche, Lobuche west, Chola Tse, and Tabuche along the way. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Dzongla to Thagna (4650m.) taking about five and a half hours. Begin with a flat stone path for an hour, passing through an arid valley. As you reach Chola glacier, the path steeply ascends, followed by a walk along icy trails. After crossing Chola pass, descend through a stony path until reaching Phedi. Continue up and down until reaching Thagna, a small village with few lodges and tea shops, offering views of Machermo peak and others. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Thagna to Gokyo (4750m.) which takes about four hours. Follow the glacier route until reaching the first lake, then trek along a flat path following Dudh Koshi stream up to Gokyo. Enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Dudh Pokhari Lake at Gokyo, situated near the third lake. Stay overnight at a lodge.
Rest day at Gokyo with an excursion in and around Gokyo valley. Explore the trade center of Gokyo, situated by the side of Ngozumpa glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal. Make a side trip to the Fifth Lake via Fourth Lake. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek/climb from Gokyo to Gokyo Ri (5483m) and then trek back to Machermo (4150m.) via Gokyo village takes about four and half hours.
Gokyo Ri looms above the village on the northern edge of the lake and you leave camp just after first light, following a steep path up the hillside. As you climb, the summits of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu slowly come into sight and the view from the summit of Gokyo Ri itself, is one of the finest to be had in the Everest region - some say it is even better than that from Kala Patthar. After lunch it is a short walk to the village of Machermo. Stay overnight in lodge.
Trek from Machermo (4150m) to Namche Bazaar (3440m) takes about five hours. The trail gently descends to Dole and then starts descending steeply to Phortse Tenga (3650m), passing through rhododendron forests. Afterward, the path ascends steeply to Mongla Danda (4000m) and gently descends to Kyanjoma (3500m), following a trail with small ups and downs to your next destination. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.) takes about six hours. The last day of your trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for a few short uphill climbs and then stepping down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay. Stay overnight in lodge.
