Khater Lake Trek

Khopra Ridge Trek is one of the newest and less crowded trekking trails in the famed Annapurna region. The major attraction of this trail is the journey to the holy Khayer (Kaire) Lake located at an altitude of 4600m. On the way you will visit the Khopra Ridge which offers superb views of Dhaualgiri, Annapurna, Lanjung, Nilgiri, Fishtail and Fang mountain ranges. The trek passes through pristine forests of rhododendrons, oaks and pines, rivers, valleys and romantic villages of Ghandruk, Tadapani, Swanta and Ulleri. This is a tea house trek and is graded as moderate in terms of difficulty. This is a short Himalayan trek suitable for trekkers of all ages.

Kathmandu Arrival.
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our airport representative. You will be greeted traditionally with flower garlands. Our representative will then take you to your hotel where you will be served welcome drinks. In the afternoon, you can take a stroll around and visit shops, restaurants and bars.
Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu. 

After early morning breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to bus station. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) takes about seven hours. This drive will take most of the morning, leaving much of the afternoon to explore the various sites of Pokhara.
Pokhara is tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. 
Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

After early morning breakfast, drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to Nayapul (1050m.) takes approximately one and half hours. Now, you begin your trek from Nayapul (1050m.) to Ghandruk (1940 m.) takes about 6 hours. 

Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Ghandruk to Tadapani (2650m.) and it takes about four hours. The trek begins through the Gurung village with beautiful Rhododendron trees, a birds chirping and welcoming the guests to their area. The stream runs down its clear and pure water as we climb up. We will come across the place named Bherikharka with some tea shops and lodges for a rest. The trek then continues with the forest of Rhododendron trees. 

Stay overnight at lodge. 

Trek from Tadapani to Bayeli (3432 m.) takes about 5 hours. Today, your trekking trail passes through a beautiful forest consisting of Rhododendron flowers.

Stay overnight at lodge/ local house. 

Trek from Bayeli to Khopra Danda (3660 m.) takes about 5 hours. Today your trek follows forest and pastures. Khopra Danda is the best view point from where we can see astonishing views of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Fishtail, and so on.

Stay overnight at lodge/ home stay.

Trek from Khopra to Khayer Lake (4600 m.) and back to Bayeli takes about 8 and half hours. Today is the longest walking day in your trekking.

Stay overnight at lodge/ home stay. 

Trek from Bayeli to Kimche village (1640 m.) via Ghandruk takes about 7 and half hours. From Kimche, you will drive back to Pokhara.

Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes about seven hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to capital city, Kathmandu.

Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

As per your flight schedule, our airport representative will transfer you from your hotel to the airport for your final departure.

  • Rescue assistance (Should any emergency arise during your trek, we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical services. For this, it would be better to have your own travel insurance from a reputed travel insurance company that can cover helicopter evacuation and medical treatment cost incase required.)
