Attractions in Pokhara:
Pokhara is the most scenic city and second most popular tourist destination in Nepal. It is the city of numerous lakes and is a gateway to the most famous Annapurna Trekking.
The city offers an up close view of the world’s three highest mountains, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I. It takes about 5 hours bus ride to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu or just 40 minute flight.
There are numerous temples and gumbas in and around pokhara valley. Pokhara is famous for such adventure activities as paragliding, rafting, rock climbing, canyoning, boating, fishing, golfing and cycling.
One of the mainstay attractions of Pokhara is the beautiful Phewa Lake. Located right in the center of the valley, Phewa Lake attracts all kinds of visitors to its beauty. Tourists can go for boating ride or swimming or just visit the Barahi temple located at the center of the lake.
Other places of interests and the attractions include the World Peace Pagoda situated on a ridge top on the southern fringe of Phewa Lake, Sarangkot and International Mountain Museum. You can also visit several caves, waterfalls, temples and handicraft centers.
Night life in Pokhara is the most happening thing as hundreds of the hotels, restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops concentrated around the lake.
