North India: The Golden Triangle (Delhi, Jaipur and Agra)

 

Delhi, Jaipur and Agra are regarded as the golden triangle by travelers primarily because of its rich architecture. Once ruled by Ashoka Emperor, Delhi is home to such world heritage monuments as India’s parliament, Connaught place, India Gate and Humayun’s Tomb. 

 

Also called Pink City of India, Jaipur is part of Rajasthan state and its largest city. It is a city of numerous magnificent palaces and forts such as Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort etc. Jaipur is also rich in gems and stones. 

 

Ruled by Mughal emperor once, Agra is undoubtedly India’s most visited city by tourists. It is home to Taj Mahal, one of world’s seven wonders and a world heritage site. Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri are also another two of the world heritage sites of Agra.
