It is also possible to take 25 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara instead of road journey.

Drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to Nayapul (1050m.) takes approximately one and half hours and Nayapul to Ulleri is 3 hrs.

The road from Pokhara to Nayapul is paved and further to Ulleri is a rough road possible only by 4 wheel vehicle. Now you begin your trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about three and a half hours. The section from Ulleri to Birethanthi provides spectacular views of snowcapped mountains, especially Machapuchre (Mt. Fishtail). You can also enjoy the beautiful rhododendron flowers during March and April along the trail between Birethanthi and Ghorepani.

Stay overnight at lodge in Ghorepani.
