Clothing bank for trekking workers in Pokhara.

Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) has brought into operation a clothing bank for trekking workers Pokhara. The bank will provide warm clothing for trekking workers heading different routes in the Annapurna region.
Mahendra Singh Thapa, 2nd vice president of TAAN, handed over 200 sets of jacket, trouser and shoes to Som Thapa, president of TAAN Pokhara Chapter, amidst a function on Feb 26.
TAAN has already brought into operation similar clothing bank in Lukla.
Trekking workers can borrow warm jacket, trouser and shoes by paying just Rs 15 per day. But the workers need to return the clothes and shoes to TAAN Pokhara Chapter after the completion of the trek.
TAAN plans to open similar clothing bank in Langtang region in the near future.
